Timekeepers

Hi to all parents of Waterborn swimmers

I have been asked by the Waterborn Swimming Club committee to run with the officials portfolio for the 2007/8 swimming season. One of my tasks is to ask at least one parent of each Waterborn swimmer to become a timekeeper and register with CGA. CGA expects each club to supply timekeepers and officials to each gala and the more we have from Waterborn, the less burden there will be on each official. Some parents have already done a timekeepers course and some parents have not.

To parents who have already done a timekeeper course and were registered with the CGA last season, I am encouraging you to register once again this season. Contact me for the application forms to register as an official with the CGA and SSA. Please complete the forms, make the deposit of R55 into the CGA bank account as shown and please return the forms, together with the proof of payment back to me either by scan and e-mail, or fax (number given below), so that I can co-ordinate and keep a record of all Waterborn officials.

To those parents who have not yet done a timekeepers course but are willing and wanting to do one – please could you return an e-mail to me so that I can arrange a timekeepers course to be run as soon as possible. All costs of the course will be borne by Waterborn.

Please note that there is a R55 subscription fee payable. For this you receive:
Full insurance while officiating on pool deckFree entry to CGA galas if you are officiating at the galaFree food and refreshments whilst officiating (speak to anybody who has officiated – this is good!)Meet interesting people and see another interesting part to running the galaInvitation to the CGA year-end cocktail party
Please feel free to contact me anytime at the numbers below should you have any queries.

Best regards
